Dahua NVR5208-EI2 is an 8-channel WizSense series IP recorder with two hard disk bays. Its own AI chip runs face detection, perimeter protection and video metadata even when the cameras themselves have no analytics, and WizSeek lets you search the recording in natural language.

Key Advantages and Features:

  • WizSeek — search video in your own words: Find an event with natural language: person, vehicle, object or event. With cameras that support AcuPick, IVS or metadata, WizSeek runs on all channels (up to 4 targets per second) and models up to 345,600 targets per day.
  • AcuPick — one-click search: The recorder finds a person or a vehicle across the whole recording in one click. Recorder-side AI covers 4 channels; camera-side AcuPick covers all channels (32 targets per second).
  • AI inside the recorder: Face detection and recognition on 4 channels (up to 20 databases and 30,000 face images), video metadata on 4 channels (22 attributes), perimeter protection on 8 channels (10 IVS rules each) and SMD Plus on 8 channels, which filters out false alarms from leaves, rain and changing light.
  • Up to 32 MP cameras and 8K output: Supports cameras up to 32 megapixels. HDMI delivers up to 7680 × 4320 (8K), and there is a separate VGA output — each can show a different picture.
  • 448 Mbps bandwidth: 448 Mbps incoming, recording and outgoing with AI off; 200 Mbps with AI on. Decoding up to 40 × 1080p@30 or 8 × 8MP@30.
  • Two hard disks up to 26 TB: Two SATA bays, each taking a disk of up to 26 TB. Plus iSCSI and N+M clustering for larger systems.
  • NVR NEXT interface: A modular interface built around the daily work of small and medium sites.
  • Interfaces: 4 alarm inputs and 2 outputs, audio in and out (RCA), RS-232, RS-485 and two USB ports (2.0 on the front, 3.0 on the rear).
