TiOC — three things in one camera: colour night view, active deterrence and AI
TiOC (Three-in-One Camera) is not a single feature but a camera concept: round-the-clock colour image, pushing an intruder away, and AI that tells people and vehicles apart from other motion — all in one device. TiOC 2.0 improved the illumination, the audio and the image, and added the ability to tie the camera into an alarm system.
1. Why “three in one” changes something
An ordinary camera records what happened. TiOC tries to prevent it: when the AI detects a person, the light comes on, the siren sounds and the alert reaches your phone — the intruder realises they are seen and often leaves before anything happens.
2. Smart Dual Light — light that only burns when needed
The camera has both infrared illumination and a warm white LED. By default it runs in smart mode: at night the IR is on (black and white image, nobody sees any light); when a target appears, the warm light comes on and the image turns colour; when the target leaves, the light goes off and IR resumes.

3. AI: fewer false alarms
Active deterrence is useless if the siren goes off for every cat and falling leaf. That is why the AI part of TiOC matters as much as the light and the sound.
- Perimeter protection — an alarm is raised only when a person or a vehicle crosses the line or area.
- SMD 4.0 — filters out what does not matter, including both small and large animals.
- AI SSA — the camera recognises the scene and adjusts the image to it.
4. Audio you can actually use
TiOC 2.0 has a new dual microphone array and noise reduction. In practice that means recorded speech is genuinely intelligible rather than merely present. In Dahua's measurements the pick-up distance grew by 7 metres compared with the previous generation.
5. A better image after dark
TiOC 2.0 is the first Dahua camera with OPC optics, which corrects the difference in refraction between visible and infrared light. Together with an F1.0 aperture that gives a brighter and sharper image — previously a large aperture forced a choice about which of the two would be in focus.
4K also runs at 30 frames per second in real time with the AI switched on. That is not a given: on many cameras the frame rate drops as soon as AI is enabled.
6. Deterrence and everyday use
- Siren and light — red and blue flashing together with a sound.
- 11 built-in messages and the option to upload your own — “Welcome” for a shop, “No entry” for a hazardous area, “No parking” for a fire lane.
- One-tap disarming — the light and siren can be switched off from DMSS or through the alarm input.
- Alarm input — the camera can be tied into an existing alarm system.
7. Auto tracking on PTZ models
TiOC PTZ models run Auto Tracking 3.0: the camera keeps the target in frame by itself and focuses without interruption while tracking. According to Dahua the tracking distance reaches up to 870 metres in ideal conditions.
