A Gigabit PoE converter that turns 48 V PoE (802.3af or passive 35–56 V) into 24 V passive PoE. Typical use: the switch supplies standard 48 V PoE, but the Wi-Fi access point — a Ubiquiti airMAX unit, say — expects 24 V PoE. The compact plastic housing clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail or screws to a wall; the bare board also fits a narrow enclosure.
