AXON PoE Net Protector protects a single 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet line together with its PoE power. A surge protector diverts the overvoltage from a lightning strike to earth through the PE conductor before it reaches the equipment. Gas discharge tubes (GDT) handle a large impulse current.
